Fractional CFO services in Paris

Paris overtook London in Dealroom's Global Tech Ecosystem Index 2025 - the first European city to break into the global top five - with more than €3.8 billion deployed into Parisian startups in 2024 alone, over a third of it into AI ventures.

The city has produced 25+ unicorns including Doctolib, Contentsquare, Mirakl, Alan and Ledger, across healthtech, e-commerce infrastructure, enterprise SaaS and Web3.

We work with Paris-based startups from seed to Series B+, supporting them on fundraise prep, financial modelling, FP&A, runway management, board packs and equity/option grants.

Paris startup ecosystem

What makes Paris's startup ecosystem distinct - sector concentrations, geographic clusters and the talent pipeline that feeds France's tech scene.

Europe's most active startup hub in 2025

Paris surpassed London in Dealroom's Global Tech Ecosystem Index 2025, the only European city in the global top five. More than 25,000 active startups operate across the Paris region, supported by 250+ accelerators and incubators. Over a third of 2024's €3.8 billion VC deployment went into AI companies.

AI, deeptech and enterprise SaaS lead

France's Grande École engineering system - École Polytechnique, CentraleSupélec, Mines ParisTech - has created a deep reservoir of research talent that flows directly into AI, robotics, quantum and life sciences startups. Enterprise SaaS and healthtech (Doctolib, Alan) are the mature verticals; AI is the current wave.

Station F, Sentier and La Défense

Station F in the 13th arrondissement is the world's largest startup campus at 51,000 m², hosting 1,000+ resident startups across 30+ programmes run by partners including Microsoft, Facebook and LVMH. The Sentier district is the historic tech and creative cluster for B2C and media startups. La Défense houses the French corporate innovation labs and growth-stage SaaS tenants.

Engineering and business talent from the Grandes Écoles

École Polytechnique, HEC Paris, ESSEC, CentraleSupélec and INRIA feed Paris's startup scene with engineering, business and research talent. HEC's incubation centre at Station F alone supported nearly 600 startups in 2024. Paris-Saclay, south of the city, is the university research cluster for deeptech and quantum.

Accelerators and angel networks active in Paris

Paris has the deepest accelerator infrastructure in continental Europe - anchored by Station F and backed by a mature LP base from public (Bpifrance) and private sources. These are the programmes most relevant for venture-backed founders at pre-seed and seed.

Station F

Station F is the world's largest startup campus - a 51,000 m² converted railway hall in Paris's 13th arrondissement. Hosts 1,000+ startups across 30+ accelerator programmes run by partners including Microsoft Reactor, Facebook Innovation Hub, HEC, LVMH Lab and dozens of corporate sponsors.

Bpifrance

Bpifrance is France's public investment bank and the largest single LP and co-investor in the French startup ecosystem. Provides seed grants (€20k–€200k), convertible loans, R&D financing and growth equity, as well as the JEI (Jeune Entreprise Innovante) tax status that reduces payroll costs for early-stage tech companies.

Kima Ventures

Kima Ventures is one of the world's most prolific seed funds, founded by Xavier Niel. Makes two investments per week globally, with a concentration in Paris-based founders. Portfolio spans 700+ companies across SaaS, fintech, AI and consumer - a strong first institutional check for Paris-based founders.

Partech

Partech is Paris's flagship multi-stage VC, investing from seed through growth across Europe and Africa. Manages over €1 billion across multiple funds. Portfolio includes Shippeo, Algolia, and Shift Technology. One of the most active Series A investors in the French market.

50 Partners

50 Partners is a Paris-based accelerator and seed fund founded in 2010, supporting around 85 startups across enterprise software, retail tech and B2B SaaS. Provides cash, workspace and mentor access for early-stage founders, with a strong network of French corporate partners.

Idinvest / Eurazeo Ventures

Eurazeo Ventures (formerly Idinvest Partners) manages over €6 billion in assets and is one of France's most active growth-stage investors, writing Series A through Series C tickets. Portfolio includes Younited Credit, Vestiaire Collective and ManoMano - a reliable partner for French founders scaling across Europe.

Paris startup accountants vs Flow fractional CFO

Most Paris startups work with a chartered accountant (Expert-Comptable) for statutory accounts, TVA filings and URSSAF payroll obligations. That role is required by French company law - but it does not replace a fractional CFO.

Paris startup accountants

Statutory accounts, corporate tax, TVA and URSSAF filings. The firms most-used by Paris venture-backed startups.

  • Forvis Mazars France

Paris-headquartered international audit, tax and advisory firm - the 'M' in Forvis Mazars. Strong startup and scale-up practice covering CIR structuring, JEI status and VC-round advisory.

  • Grant Thornton France

Mid-tier firm with a dedicated innovation and high-growth company practice, regularly advising Series A and B companies on French GAAP to IFRS transition and international expansion.

  • Exco France

Top-ten French accountancy network with 70+ offices and a specialist startup and JEI advisory practice, widely used by Station F residents and early-stage Paris founders.

  • In Extenso

France's third-largest accountancy firm with strong coverage of tech SMEs and growth companies, offering startup packages including CIR claims, BPI loan structuring and board-ready reporting.

  • KPMG France Startups

KPMG France operates a dedicated startup advisory unit covering seed-to-Series B companies - R&D tax credits, international structuring and Big Four audit readiness for late-stage rounds.

Flow fractional CFO

Financial modelling, FP&A and fundraise prep. We work alongside your Expert-Comptable - not instead of them.

  • Builds the financial model - revenue assumptions, headcount, unit economics, runway.
  • Sets up the monthly FP&A cycle: budget, forecast vs actual, variance analysis.
  • Puts together the monthly board pack - P&L, cash, KPIs and forward outlook.
  • Prepares the fundraise: investor model, deck financials, data room and diligence prep.
  • Keeps the cap table tidy and handles BSPCE option grants and 409A-equivalent valuations.
  • Reports on the KPIs that move the business - ARR, gross margin, CAC payback, retention.
  • Pressure tests hiring, pricing and big spend decisions against the model before the founder commits.
  • Sits in board meetings and is embedded week-to-week, not just engaged annually for compliance.

Simple pricing

No hidden costs, no complicated long-term contracts. We understand how important flexibility is for Paris startups.
